When we published Room from hardback into paperback, we didn't want to make any alterations to this wonderful book. However, one of the things we did change for the paperback was the cover artwork.

 

One of the perks of being an editor (actually, there are many) is that you can, occasionally, be involved - in a small way - in actively shaping how a book looks.

You can also, sometimes, work with people you'd never normally get to meet.

As an editor, you work with all kinds of authors. 

Sometimes, you're lucky enough to work with authors you've previously read and admired - and, occasionally, you get to work with someone you've even, perhaps, been slightly - or maybe completely - in awe of.
