A quiet street in the Palestinian
Old City
This street used to be bustling with people and
Palestinian shops. It is now deserted.
Graffiti. 'JDL' stands for Jewish Defence League.
The little figure on the girl's
backpack is a symbol of
Palestinian resistance. Her
exercise book reads,
'Liberté, égalité, fraternité'.
The Israeli flag stands out in this
view of Hebron.
