My top tip would be Tigers in Red Weather. It’s a Gatsby-esque debut and it’s absolutely beautifully told. It’s the sort of book you want to read with a martini in hand. It’s a really, really fantastic debut.

Equating a novel to Scott Fitzgerald or Hemingway is usually a big call but the simplicity and beauty of the writing immediately brings them to mind. I loved the subtle character development of each character. It's a book to treasure.
