The Music Room by William Fiennes has made the shortlist for the Royal Society of Literature's Ondaatje Prize 2010.

The £10,000 prize is awarded annually to a book of "the highest literary merit best evoking the spirit of place".

The winner will be announced at a celebratory dinner at The Travellers Club on 24th May.
